Help compile please.

I have recently run in to a problem when trying to compile the new pcsx2 revision 959, it finishes with no error or any problem at all, but i don't see where the file is. Is it because of the new suite setup?
If so, how can I get it so I can use the new revision?

It should be in the /bin folder. Did you follow the compile guide word-for-word?

yes, I followed it word for word, the last one I compiled of pcsx2 was 579.
any ideas about the fact that the pcsx2_2008.snl is gone and theres a new pcsx2_suite_2008.sln?

I noticed something just now. the latest version file like pcsx2-595.exe wasn't there, but when i compile the new version the pcsx2.exe file changes its compile date in yellow in the console. The date changes to today because I had just compiled all 18 parts of the suite.

why would it not compile the title name of the new revision and just pcsx2.exe? I'm confused.

Quote:Restructured the build system from the ground up. 3rdparty libs have been moved
back into a /3rdparty folder, and are compiled as libraries. Most relevant
plugins are part of the pcsx2_suite_2008.sln. Revision tagging of filenames is
still there, but is now disabled by default

Because as Yunsabit just said, if you read all the commit logs, that says that pcsx2_2008.snl has been dropped and now you have to compile using pcsx2_suite_2008.sln. Open it and either choose to compile one of the plugins or simply pcsx2 or the whole project. You will have a pcsx2.exe generated or updated in /bin directory. By default there is no more a pcsx2-rev*** generated. Simply use the pcsx2.exe and here you go Wink

EDIT : For Alex, I don't know how to enable the revision extension, but the simple way is to make a copy of the pcsx2.exe you just compiled and add yourself the revision that appeared in the log during compilation ^^

I understand i have the file, but if some game breaks in a newer version i want to be able to roll back one revision to avoid the problem.
so how do i enable it.

There is a wiki on how to compile there : http://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/wiki/Comp...ForWindows

Especially for the rev extension, your answer should be in part Setting Alternate Target Destinations. Smile

Thank you for your help.

I still don't get it. That part tells me how to change the save location, not how to make it save both as pcsx2.exe and pcsx2-rXXX.exe, i want to add the revision tagged file to the bin folder.

Sorry for being picky, should i just manualy make a copy and rename it?
