The best 1x card you can get is GT-610 but, there is another way on which you can use X16 cards on your 1x slot.

1) Most effective way of keeping my i7 laptop cool ?? (Runs, TOO DAMN HOT!!): -_- >.<

• use power saver plan in windows performance plan on control panel. (will reduce the usage of your processor at most scenarios and will make your laptop more cooler)
  
• Try to use your laptop in a cooler environment (doesn't do much in most scenarios)
  
• disable most of the start up programs and keep everything clean using software's like Ccleaner.
  
• get a better cooler fan for your laptop.
