Hot Shots Tennis Missing Assets
#1
This may be a niche problem considering this game is not well known nor talked about but I was wondering if anyone help me with a problem I am having with PCSX2 and the Hot Shots Tennis game.

In this post you can find an in-game screenshot of what a normal match looks like in: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Post-your...#pid249121.

I fully own the game and the ISO rip is of my personal copy of the game. However, when I try to emulate the game on both the stable release and the most recent nightly build of PCSX2, there are many assets missing from gameplay. Most notably, the scores that you see on the edges of that screenshot. This is very vital to the actual game experience. I am also able to view the stats that appear as your character is doing a victory pose.

I was hoping you can help me by checking if anyone have this problem when loading the game. If not, If you can please provide me with your PCSX2 settings so that I may reproduce them in my machine and understand what is causing some of these assets not to show.

I sincerely appreciate your time! Thank you for helping!

The first thing I recommend is setting everything to default and run it in software mode.
Then switch to hardware mode and start turning on different settings up to your settings before you defaulted them.
If that's not the case, re-rip the ISO... again if you haven't so.
Moe: [to Homer] And I'm pulling your favorite song out of the jukebox.
Homer: "It's Raining Men"?!
Moe: Yeah, not no more, it ain't. [throws the record out the window which lands into Smithers' car]
Smithers: Ow! [looks at the record] Ohhh.

What about pressing F9 in-game?

I have ran it in both software mode and hardware mode on every graphics plugin that is available on PCSX2 but nothing ends up working. None of those assets show up :/

Yup, I have tried that too...

Try an older build of PCSX2, maybe 0.9.8?
Update GPU drivers maybe.

Can you please screenshot all of your emulation settings as well as the full emulog after the problem occurred?

(If I have to guess I would say ws hack...)

The game doesn't crash or anything, there are just missing assets that I know are in the game that don't show up. Will the log tell me that?

If it is a ws issue the log will tell me that.
If you have a bad iso and you have flooding tlb misses it will tell me that.
If you use an ancient gsdx version it will tell me that.

The screenshots are for non-default rounding and clamping, aspect ratio, manual gamefixes, speedhacks and gsdx plugin settings. If you have something odd there (for gsdx it will be the enabled HW hack tickbox) it will give me at least a hint.

Pardon that it could be quite long :/
That was from the moment I booted up PCSX2 until the moment I got no in-game assets.

Ok so nothing obvious here.
Can you please screenshot your emulation settings (all tabpages) including gsdx plugin settings?
