Why?... PCSX2 prefer Nvidia.. and that's what the OP wants..

It depends on the game. It also depends on the internal resolution you want to run the game in.

If you just use ot for internet and PCSX then get an nvidia, because PCSX gets more FPS with those cards (I don't know if this is because of pcsx itself or because of the plugins).
If you're changing your card, but don't play anything newer or heavier than CoD and stuff, then get a 9800GT and save you a lot of money. That card does wonders in PCSX too.
And remember, PCSX is more CPU limited than GPU limited. Most games already runs great with your actual 3D card. With a faster 3D card you will benefit noticeably only in a small number of games, like Final Fantasy 12. In PC games you'll see a lot of difference between an 8600gts and a GTS260. But in PCSX, better get something around an 9800GT. You save a lot of money and you get awesome results.

Seems it counts a bit more than is let on. I have three CPU's (don't ask) a q6600, q9550 and a e7500 and a GD45ID motherboard with an onboard GPU (X4500 I beilive) which is intels fastest integrated which is not all that fast compared to dedicated GPU. The speed increases with a change in the CPU were pretty linear so I thought a card upgrade wouldn't make that much of a difference but when I had the chance to put in a 9800GT I saw my frame rates double (and triple in certain cases). I would really like it if PCSX2 could give a breakdown of where all the computation time is going eg EE, VU0, VU1 etc.
