How can I edit widescreen patch file?
#1
I'm new at this. I just read this http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Guide-Cre...n-10-steps

Now, these codes are confusing:

// 16:9
patch=1,EE,0043c6dc,word,3c013f40 // 00000000 hor fov
patch=1,EE,0043c6e8,word,44810000 // 00000000
patch=1,EE,0043c6ec,word,4600c602 // 00000000
patch=1,EE,00402e18,word,3c043fab // 3c043f80 renderfix 1
patch=1,EE,00402e20,word,3c05bfab // 3c05bf80 renderfix 2

I want to add some addresses and change some values to it, but how?

you need to change the cheats_ws.zip (? is it zip?). Just extract it, look for your crc and change the file using a texteditor (like notepad)

....

That's now what I'm asking, everyone knows how to extract files..

I need to change the values I get from CheatEngine, how?

Have you created the above written code or is it quoted from the widescreen package?

The first of the hex values is the address and the second one is the value. The other stuff like 1,EE, should not be changed. Normally one should use extended instead of word since it has a higher compatibility. But if you know what you're doing.

But maybe I still don't get what you want...

Sorry if I confuse you, English is my 2nd language.

Thanks for the info. I will try it later when I get home.

Btw. those addresses are raw. (You can directly use the results of cheat-engine) Codes that you find on cheat websites are normally encrypted. (If you start doing your own cheats)
So codes from other websites than pcsx2.net might look strange.

That's the code for Harvest Moon - A Wonderful Life - Special Edition (NTSC-U).

What exactly do you want to do with it? Make it Eyefinity or something?

Yes it's for HM AWL. The patch is by ElHecht. It's a great patch, but still missing some addresses?

Standard :

16:9 with ElHecht's patch :

Added an address to the patch (a:20493DC0, v:3F400000) :

See what's still missing? I've spent hours and couldn't find the rest addresses -.-

If anyone can help that would be great! thanks

Did you follow the same values for looking for the HUD as the guide? (20200000 to 21FFFFFF) or were they different ranges?
