By reading in the links you provided you can easily find the size of it.
Asus: 17.1 inch
MSI: 17 inch
By better do you mean the Brand, computer, reliability?
If you mean which laptop is better, then the MSI laptop is the one with the better components. It has a better processor, GPU, basically everything overall. I never owned anything from MSI, so I can't really help you in how reliable the Brand is compared to Asus.
Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.6Ghz
6GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia 275 GTX Co-Op
HDD 2x750GB Raid 0
Mobo - Asus P6T
OCZ Game XStream 700W
Window 7 Ultimate
...a 5730 is better than a GTX260M...?
But the Asus one is heavier by almost a kg, so personally I'd take the MSI one.
Intel C2D E6550 2.33GHz (OC@2.8GHz)
Corsair CM2X1024 4GB (4x1GB) DDR2 DRAM
XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB
Running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

i'd go for the msi
5730 overclocks well/runs very cool on stock
also the cpu is better
the dx11 says nothing on the 5730 tho as it is not powerfull enough to actually run games in dx11 well
