How much will my performance increase if I upgrade my CPU?

These 2 CPUs have different sockets, so you can't do this upgrade without changing your motherboard

Just upgrade to e7xxx due have sse4.1 and pretty well for overclock. You can save your money.

Funny thing is: Due to the inherent speed advantage Intel has, this "upgrade" would be a slowdown actually Tongue2

But yeah, change to a faster core2 duo OR read up on overclocking the chip you have.
I think yours should be able to run at some 3.3 or so Ghz?

I agree, if upgrading, just switch the CPU for a C2D E7x00. The Gigabyte P35-DS3L is a pretty nice overclocking board. Do both? Laugh
