You can also save\export your lilypad configuration to a file and if something goes wrong,just load the file.

When I update I just make an archive of pcsx2.exe and the inis and plugins folders and after that overwrite the old files with the newer.
If there is something wrong with some plugin or pcsx2,I just extract the file from the archive and if everything is ok,I delete the archive
