How to run an ISO file? :s
#1
Hey guys. I recently posted a thread here about having a problem with my Final Fantasy X Disk no running properly on the Pcsx2 Emulator. I was told that I should convert the files into a ISO file using a program called IMGBurn. So, I did this, and it all worked finely.

Although, now I have another problem. I'm not quite sure how to set the Emulator up to play with the ISO file. I've tried setting the ISO with Linuz Iso CDVD 0.8.0, and it says it's all ok. But, when I start the game, nothing happens - it just stays on the PS2 main screen :s

Any suggestions? Thanks! Laugh

So you get any kind of error in the console/output window?

You also seem to be using the older PCSX2 0.9.6 version, try with 0.9.7 which should be easier:

No errors that I'm aware of. Thanks for the link. il try the newer version, and if I'm still getting problems, il take some Screen Shots and upload them Smile

Thanks!

After you get 0.9.7 beta:
Dismount the ISO from any program like daemon tools etc. Then CDVD->Choose ISO, then ISO selector->Browse, find your ISO and System->Boot CD/DVD (fast)

Ok. So I've downloaded the latest version, and I think I've done everything correctly, but now I keep on getting an error report when I try to run the Emulator! (I'm a real noob at this, sorry).

Here's a SS of how things are set up. I know you will most probably need more SS's, so please just tell me what to SS, and il go and do it straight away!

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? >_<

You are using old plugins for some reason. Install it in a new directory and not over your old install and use the plugins that come with it.

Download and use PCSX2 0.9.8 and keep the default settings, you have either used some very bad settings or you are using a very old PCSX2 version.
