Be aware some god mode cheats work by restoring health to nominal value (max hit points) and a hit could still kill the character if damage is enough to do it in one hit (as some kind of death spell could do also).

PS: I have seen cases of the character rotting on the floor despite it's health bar showing full health. That is because the cheat forces the health value to nominal at each frame but has no actual influence over the "dead" state.

Patch=1 grants the cheat code is reaplied at each frame. This is particularly observable with money cheats where the money never goes down or up till the cheat is disabled (and then allowing the changes made by the game to persist).

Patch=0 applies the code once by game's session but has implementation difficulties and is almost never used.
