How well would my new computer run this
#1
Hiya, I just built a new computer and it recently occurred to me to check on this. How well/fast do you guys think pcsx2 will run on this build:

AMD Athlon II X4 630 processor 2.80 GHz
4.00 GB ram
Windows 7 64-bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 (Approx. Total Memory (according to DxDiag) is 2797 MB)

To put it into perspective, I can run Crysis at max settings, though I'm not sure if that's a big deal anymore

So, will this be able to play the ps2 emulator at playable speads?

Hmmm, we should probably set an option when posting new threads "can you run crysis on high?"

That site is interestingly useless it seems:
Quote:Recommended: Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz/Athlon X2 4400+ or better
You Have: 2.75 GHz

Upgrade Suggested: Unfortunately, your CPU Speed does not meet this requirement.

Anyway, it depends on the game you want to run, you wont have much of a problem with most games but for some of the most demanding you will probably need to overclock to get playable speeds.

i am certain you cannot run crysis at max at a decent resolution or even at a ***** resolution
do not take these websites to serious, you are just a little above recommended
overclocking the cpu will definitely improve your performance in pcsx2 tho

with my specs (click on my name) i can only run crysis warhead at gamer settings and still get lower than 60FPS at 1280x720. So i dont see how you can max crysis
