Huge slow down on Ty the Tasmanian Tiger
#1
Just felt like a playing this game and for some reason I'm having huge slowdown. I'm getting about 30-40 fps when playing, in menus I get 60. I understand that it's a processor thing usually but I'm running an AMD A10-6800k it's running at 4.4ghz. I don't understand how this can't be enough to play this game.

I'm using PCSX2 v1.2.1
I'm currently trying to run the game with EE at 2 and VU at 2 and it's not helping in the slightest.

I've tried turning framelimiting off but that just makes menus run at around 300-350 fps and the game's still is stuck at around 30.

I did just recently do a clean wipe of my hard drives so when I reinstalled PCSX2 I may have messed up a setting somewhere? I don't think I did though.

Yeah, I have tried speedhacks. When I said EE at 2 and VU at 2 I was describing the sliders in the speedhacks tab. Unless you're talking about something different in which case no. I do have microVU hacks all checked and I have all but the fast CDVD checked in the "other hacks" section under speed hacks.

What do the ee% & gs% say when getting slowdowns ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X

the ee% is around 80 and 90 the gs is fairly low comparatively, only around 30-40 I think.

I've tried for a few hours messing with the settings and I just ended up using Dolphin to emulate it for Gamecube, that's the version I own anyways and it has no issues. I guess it's just something to do with emulating the PS2 or something? :/

Kinda frustrating but whatever.

I see.
I'll close this before someone starts to ask you awkward questions.
No need to end up giving you a warning if this can be avoided.
