Try updating PCSX2 to the latest git version and see if it fixes your problem. Ratchet games are very complicated.

I realise this is old, but I had the same issue and the EE Timing Hack game fix solved the problem. It even worked resuming from a save state made during the black screen.

Hopefully this helps someone if not the OP.
