I have matrix infinity clone(also used dev mode to start ulaunchelf and then the usb dumper)but the dumping process went fine.

One of my PS2 consoles has a Matrix Infinity 1.93 mod chip as well, no problems with it.

Btw you did wait until the dumper tells that the process is done right
In my case it took around 4 minutes to dump the bios(nothing was indicating that it's still doing something during that time and I thought that the dumper/ps2 freeze)
