software mode will be more accurate, for sure.

BUt you will lose some precious fps
CPU : I7 2600K 3.4Ghz OC'ed 4.2Ghz
Chipset : P67 Intel Southbridge
GPU : Geforce nvidia GTX 560
RAM : 6 Go

On that cpu with 6 threads SoTC should run pretty fast, without vu hack 30-35 fps is the slowest in interlaced mode.
