In Theory, Do You Think This Handheld Gaming Device Could Handle PCSX2?

The Smach Z, which boasts it can play steam games and emulators.

Some of the specs
  • CPU: AMD Merlin Falcon RX-421BD (12-15w) SoC at 2.1 GHz
  • Cores: 4/4
  • iGPU: Radeon R7 at 800 MHz
  • RAM: 4GB (SMACH Z) || 8GB (SMACH Z PRO) DDR4 2133 MHz
  • HD: 64GB (SMACH Z) || 128GB (SMACH Z PRO)
  • Screen: 6” FULL HD (1920x1080). Capacitive touch-screen.

With these specs, do you think it'd be able to handle a good majority of PS2 games at 720p or below at a stable  30fps framerate at the least ? anyone know of any  PC or laptop GPU's/CPU's with similar specs  and how they fare with PCSX2?

Single threaded performance is 1570 which is not bad. Fairy good actually.

I'm not sure how powerful the gpu is tho. Maybe it can handle up to 2x upscaled resolution in dx11 but since it's a hand held device you probably won't even need to upscale it since it's a small screen.

50/60 fps is also achievable.
CPU: I7-4770 3.9GHZ
Motherboard: Asrock B85M - DGS
RAM: Hyper X Savage 2x8GB 1.6GHZ CL9
GPU: GTX1070 8GB GDDR5
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

It's a 35w APU being run with only 12-15w. It will probably handle lightweight games, and not much more.

providing it dont overheat or throttle from insufficient cooling, emulation on mobile device can get hit or miss as they heatup the device way faster then things actual programed natively for it
