juggling so many bluetooth dongles and so many drivers ...something must have gone bad in my system. controller only stays connected for about one second after that OFF.
buying a ds4 was the worst decition of my life. money thrown out the window.

You're not at that point yet, any chance you have a system restore point prior to using the other dongles or an other controllers or tools?

Windows 8 is fantastic, if the metro interface is all you dislike about it then don't use it, You can boot right to desktop and never have to see it.

If latency is the issue now then that could be caused by poor shielding/grounding on the PC case or the usb port you plugged the dongle into, could also be caused by RF interference from WiFi devices or pretty much any other wireless electronic. Try plugging the dongle into a hub that is in a nice open spot.

latency has always been the isue with all other dongles I tryed.
I have a close router nearby so wifi could be the problem.
but if one of them has to go....it's gonna be ds4.
Don't really understand the thing about poor shielding/grounding on PC case? what would that mean.
I'm gonna try all usb ports one by one. if nothing gives...goodbye ds4

and this is the error i get
Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\DSDCS\DS4Windows\DS4Windows\Profiles\New Profile.xml'. (Void WinIOError(Int32, System.String) in mscorlib) []
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
its weird too i can use the trackpad to move my mouse cursor so the controler is working i just cant create a profile on the program

There has to be a common denominator between you and the other guy that reported it at the same time and a reason why its just you guys so far and nobody else, can you try disabling antivirus and restarting the program?

try changing the wifi channel, or better yet if all your wifi devices support 5.8 band switch to 5.8 only mode. try to distance the two devices as far apart as possible. and shielding refers to a metal insulator that is grounded that prevents electrical components and wires from inadvertently acting as antennas for interference, powered USB hub usually helps as it grounds not only to the usb on the PC but also to the 120v electrical ground.

Hi guys,
Today I noticed that process 'steam.exe' at Task Manager permanently loads one CPU core, but Steam is not running. I checked path of executable of this process and it was 'C:\Users\<my_username>\AppData\Roaming\DS4Windows\Reversed\steam.exe'.
Fast inspection of folder contents showed it was a bitcoin miner.
Virustotal confirmed this: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/16724.../analysis/

Please check your AppData\Roaming\DS4Windows\Reversed folder for steam.exe and delete or rename it.
Kaspersky Antivirus (which i'm using on my machine) Lab confirmed it is a malware, it signature will be added to the next signature update.

UPD: I lurked for similiar cases, perhaps it's a some virus which uses random folder to place miner in it and mine was folder of DS4Windows appdata.
