Is there any way to successfully run Jak 3 with this setup?
#1
Hey everyone,

I've been trying to run Jak 3 at a reasonable speed, but have had no success. I have an Asus N55SF with an i7-2670QM @ 2.20 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, and a GT 555m? Is it possible and what settings should I put it on?

Thanks in advance,
-Barrett

Jak series are quite demanding and 2.20 ghz won't be enough.
Be sure to use latest svn with mtvu hack & some speedhacks, but i doubt you will get playable speeds
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Sad

Thanks for the response anyway. Would Kingdom Hearts 2 run well?

Yes, it certainly should.

Your processor should actually run at least 2.8Ghz with Turbo Boost,
and on the given architecture,
you are looking at a fairly potent processor for PCSX2.

But the Jak series really are likely too much.
Always worth a try, though. Smile

3.1 Ghz, I think.
Thanks for the quick help, both of you!
Off to play KH2...

That 3.1Ghz is only if running a single thread (core). Smile

Oh, I was not aware of that.

Yep.

That's the way Intel advertises all their processor's Turbo Boosts.
Kinda seems a bit shadey, although I think it is stated as "up to...".
(always with the fine-print, right?)
