Issues playing KHII and Shadow of the Colossus
#1
Hey there folks, first post from the Dithyramb here, and I've just got a few questions that need (or at least desire) an answer.

KHII AND Shadow of the Colossus both run horrendously slow on my computer. Now, SOTC I can understand-- it needs it's own speedhack or some such to even run well, apparently. But KHII goes at maybe 4 FPS on my system, with texture-errors. SOTC-- actually runs slightly faster, but slows down periodically, and I can't even exit the temple area (for those who have played the game) without the sunlight blinding the screen and not fading back for quite some time. And in both games, the audio stutters violently.

Specifics of my System:
OS: XP
Processor: AMD Athalon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
RAM: 2 GB

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS (256 MB)

If any other specifics are needed, then request them: I don't know all that much about PC gaming, since I don't usually get the chance to play PC games. Hence, PS2 emulation.

-------
THE ACTUAL QUESTION PORTION OF THIS WALL OF TEXT
-------

What are the optimal settings for these games? If possible, in relation to my system-specs. Is my PC just not capable of running these?

KH2 should be running rather decently on your rig...what plugins are you using and what are your settings for the graphics plugin?(the one most likely causing the issue)

Try setting GSdx to pixel shader 3. Also make an image of your disc and run it with linuz iso, should give you a nice speed boost in loading times

I hope my card is capable of Pixel Shader 3...

I'm already using an ISO image file for both games, so thanks for the heads up.

And I'm running PCSX 2.0.9.6
