KH 2 Final mix Mulan boss crash

I've been playing KH 2 Final mix + english patch for a while, i just can't seem to get past the part where im fighting the first boss in mulan i use my valor form then hit till a certain point in his bar of health then it crashes, everything was going fine untill that happened well the last thing my log says is this

Offset 0xa880000 invalid. Legit SIGSEGV. Aborting.
pcsx2.sh: line 2: 1098 Segmentation fault: 11 ./pcsx2

remake your iso without the english patch, get past this point, then go on using your patched iso.
translation patches are likely to cause this.

Or get past this point using your real PS2, then import your savegame in pcsx2.
