Kingdom Hearts 1 subtitles
#1
I'm running the latest version, 3113, and am having trouble with some of the cuscenes.

Yeah see, in the cutscenes some of the subtitles overlap eachother. And when it returns to normal gameplay, the subtitles stay and for some reason I can't move past that part. I have all speedhacks enabled, and am using GSDx for my graphics plugin.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

simple.... turn off ALL your speedhacks and be sure you are using micro vu
OS: Win 7 Ultimate x64 sp1, MoBo: Asus P5QD Turbo, CPU: Q6600 @ 3,0Ghz, RAM: Trancend 2x2gb 6-6-6-18 800 MHz, GPU: HD 4850 1gb.

Disabling all of them makes my speed drop down to 60%. I disabled the IOP x2 cycle rate hack and the mVU min/max hack since those only gave small speedups. I'll try it with other speedhacks disabled to see if I can get a good speed without those subtitle glitches.

EDIT: Nope, subtitles are still screwed with both those hacks disabled.

I've found speed pretty fair with EE Cyclerate at level 2 (the middle option). Might want to try pushing down VU Stealing too. I think those two options are the ones that have something to do with the overlapping. I forget which one though.

i can confirm the bug.
i've tried latest svn build 3162 with default settings (only mapped the controller)
tested public 0.9.7 also (default settings)

in Traverce town, after boss battle Guard Armor, during the cut-scene with evil sorceress subtitles start to overlap.
after that there is dialog with Squall where the subtitles were out of place. On the subtitle "look the star gone out" (this line was half an hour ago in the game earlier) the game frozen (dialog did not continue, although Squall kept talking (silently and forever), music kept playing)

States have changed like 10 times since 1888 so it's pretty impossible to load such an old state. If you're going to report a bug, post all your plugins used etc, 'default' is not enough.

bositman. when i download 0.9.7 from official website and load it, plugins are choose randomly or depending on the pc configuration?
i did not change any plugin and settings, speedhacks etc. just loaded the game.
is it really necessary to list every plugin everybody already know?

i mean when was the last change of sstates, maybe the bug appeared within this set of svns and i can locate the build where it happened.

No, PCSX2 cannot magically choose plugins according to your PC Tongue Yes it is necessary when tracking bugs because the slightest detail matters and helps us debug much faster and efficiently. If you can't bother listing 5 plugins and their settings, don't bother reporting a bug at all.

Don't know when the last state version was made, it wasn't recently I can tell you that.
