These do not speed up music or background animations.

NOTE: These are FPS halving addresses. They are set to 1 by default which halves the FPS to 30. This value can be increased beyond 1 to enable perfect internal frameskipping without losing animation speed.

you're an hero! Works perfect with kingdom hearts 1 final mix. I have kingdom hearts 2 final mix plus jap, it's possible to have a pnach file for this version maybe ?

pnach name for KH2FM is F266B00B.pnach
Create a file named that and edit it with notepad or notepad++.

i have already a pnach file for the game, i pasted this on it

// 60 FPS Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
patch=1,EE,00349E1C,extended,00000000

but it' strange, seems to not works!

i have other codes for the game, just like kingdom hearts 1 but i don't think is this the reason!

I'm not sure why that is, because it works fine for me.
This seems random, but try hitting F4 to disable the framelimter and then F4 again to turn it back on.
Also make sure you have cheats enabled. I thought it didn't work at first and spent a bit messing with it, then realized i had cheats turned off.

ops now works i must go trough the next screen, while kingdom hearts 1 works immediately. Incredible Xendran2, i really hope that this can be done for much more ps2 games in the future! Is incredible to play at 60 fps! Thanks again!

I don't think i'd be able to really do this for other games.
A friend of mine accidentally stumbled upon this code while looking for something totally different and unrelated in KH Final Mix.

Then, i looked at the values that were close to the code, and wrote them down. I then dumped KH1 NTSC and searched those values in the dump, and sure enough the same 60FPS address was near by in the exact same relation to the KHFM one.
Then, i discovered something: The "Game Speed" code was very very close to where this framerate code was. So then, i took the game speed code from this thread, searched for it in KH2 Final Mix and lo and behold, the framerate code was very close to it. I then did the same for KH2 NTSC, and boom. 60FPS in all of them.

Xendran, Just a quick question before i squee like a little girl..
This gets 60FPS smoothness while keeping the animation speed and music play back normal, I seem to follow that.

Now, do i set the base frame rate to 200% than enable frame skipping? Or is that done automatically, I'd test, but i am sadly at work.

Also, would you mind sharing your code findings maybe in the widescreen hacks forum? i think it may help many people there in unlocking more games

This thread is epic. Thank you very much for these patches. Now I feel the urge to buy a new PC that can handle the new 60fps at all situations.
Edit: hellbringer616, I just tried it, and there is no need to change the base frame rate nor enable frame skipping. Just play normally and it will work (but it requires a lot more resources than without the patch).

It requires nearly double the power, but you just enable the code and you're good to go.
For those with weaker pcs, you can actually set the value to 2 to play it at lower than 30fps without losing animation speed. Perfect internal frameskipping.

I'm going to hack this for the PAL versions as well soon, just waiting on a friend who has them.
