Klonoa 2 Displaced Objects Issue
#1
I have an issue when playing Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil.

In-game, during actual gameplay, I experience some objects to be displaced from their correct locations.

The objects are those green bulbs with wings that you can grab onto by shooting them, and jump from.

As you can see, I'm unable to progress further in the game because the two "bulbs" (Picture 1 and 2) are placed by the cave entrance, instead of by the tall ledge for me to use to get up.

Here are my specs:

From a search on the forums it seems you need to use a specific beta and setting the clamp mode in "config > advanced" to full on the beta.

You can try the latest beta but it seems it has a different problem for the game, maybe if you search in the forums you'll find your answer.

I tried this, but it didn't work, thanks though.

It appears that the BETA won't even run the game for some reason (Error loading blahblahblah iso"

And I noticed this being spammed in my original PCSX2 console while playing the game:

IPU Invalid Intra DC Precision, switching to 9 bits
IPU Invalid Intra DC Precision, switching to 9 bits
IPU Invalid Intra DC Precision, switching to 9 bits
...

Is that vital?

Nice description of the problem!

Looks like you either didn't configure the cdvd plugin correctly or you have the ISO mounted in some other program so try to unmount it.

Thanks for your patience and your help Lady. For me this game works perfect with the rev 872, no crashes, no hangs up, no displaced objects. In the lastest revisions (official rev 1888 and 0. 9.6) this games crashes (in the intro part, and if u skip the intros u can play 1 second and crash).

This game is not more supported by pcsx2 Sad (??).

P.S. Diablodoc if u want to test the rev 872 type in google "PCSX2_beta_872.7z" and select the first result.

New revisions always have the chance to break stuff even when they fix others, you never know a new revision may have fixed it already or it may stay like that for a while.

Actually, that's the exact message that pops up when I click "Run CD/DVD" or "Execute" Tongue

"Error loading <path-to-file>.iso" and then another message saying "Error opening CDVD plugin"

That problem was fixed, however.

As for the BETAs, both rev 1888 and rev 872 have the exact same issue and I experience heavy lag using rev 872. The objects appear displaced nevertheless. Glare

The program I'm using to mount the ISO is DAEMON Tools.

You guessed it! I'm blind.

One CDVD plugin did not have any configurations at all, the Linuz did and it was correctly configured (But clicking Test on the configurations screen revealed that the plugin reported not to be working)

The ISO was mounted in only one program only, and only one mount was active.

Either way, I fixed that problem. As stated in my post, the same object displacement problem occurs in both BETAs.
