Klonoa 2: Lunatea's veil wish some audio and graphics bugs
#1
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, and i gotta say, this emulator is pretty good.
Unfortunately, I ran into a few issues with Klonoa, the game looks pretty broken and some of the sounds just don't play at all.

The ocean here looks pitch black. It was actually worse before, as in it looked like a static screen on LSD. I resetted the game and it "fixed" (it's not as bad, but still pitch black)

Using Direct3D9 makes Klonoa have this weird black outline behind him.

So I changed it to Direct3D11 and it fixed it, but now he has random vertical black lines around him.

But that's not my biggest issue, i can play the game just fine with a few graphical glitches here and there, but the big problem is that whenever I do something in the game, it plays no sound. The background music is there, the characters speak normally in cutscenes, but in game, shooting the ring doesn't play anything, killing monsters, pressing buttons on the menu. basically, the only sounds that the game can play are music and dialogue, anything else just doesn't play.
I tried messing around with the audio plugins but couldn't fix it.

Graphics Card: Intel® HD graphics 4600

Trying to play Klonoa 2 from ISO.
I know this is not a great computer, and I do get the occasional fps drop, but I can handle that well, I don't really mind. What's really bugging me is the fact that the game simply does not play any sound except the music and the dialogue.

Sorry for the late reply, I was at the dentist.

Quote:Missing Sound
  • Status: Active

  • Type: Minor

  • Description: Some areas have no music and sound effects are missing completely.

  • Workaround: Set Audio Latency to 3 milliseconds. This can cause skipping, so set audio to Timestretch (start the game with 3MS Async Mix, then switch to Timestretch on the title screen.)
