LAPTOP computer manufacturers
#1
I've decided to take advantage of this site because everyone here knows a crap load about computers Tongue

I'm a HP (Hewlett-Packard) fan. They seem pretty reliable and I never had any issues with my computer (other then viruses and stuff but I can deal with those).

What Laptop computer manufacturers do you suggest other then HP?

I think hp is the most known one.Their laptops are usually not so expensive and also very strong.
You can try also toshiba, dell, sony and fujitsu siemens but you may have to pay a lot more,or you may encounter heat problems.

So,I think hp is your best choice.

Here are some hp laptops that can (in my opinion) handle pcsx2 good.
HP Compaq Presario CQ61-220sv
HP Compaq Presario CQ71-210sv
HP Compaq Presario CQ71-110ev

Gateway is a surprisingly good laptop company, as is ASUS. Sony Vaio's are also good, quality laptops.

This is of course, here in the states. I'm not sure about the rest of the world.

I live in the USA. Normally, I'd go with HP but they actually don't have up to date processors just yet.

I might look into dell, Toshiba Electronics, or gateway.

Problem is some of these companies sites do not have a customization option so it makes it difficult to search.

Edit: hopefully, in a few months or something, Hp will have more available.

Hewlett Packard computers have all been horrid to me... I honestly wish it was as easy/feasible to make/design your own laptops like you can your own home PCs. I love building my own computers because I have 100% control of all hardware and software that goes into them...

That said, for laptops I've always had good luck with IBM and Gateway.

wow... falcon has the i7 available for a laptop. Theres just one problem

Energy consuming. the laptop wouldn't last more then 45-90 (90 minutes with two batteries) minutes during dvd playback Sad

I don't think its worth it. Its like carrying around a desktop on ur lap almost. Not to mention it probably overheats like crazy.

They need to invent stronger batteries.....

A lot of people use big laptops like that as desktop replacements, or portable desktops for LAN parties and such.

I've looked around a bit, and it seems only dell currently has a laptop available with the QX9300 processor along with the following video card choices:

Single NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M, 1GB

Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M, 2GB

Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 280M, 2GB

Without much added accessories (printers, software, blue ray, router, stuff like that) it comes around $3,200 US dollors

HP has the QX9000 as well but only with the following video cards:

512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 130M

it comes around $2,600 US.

I'll probably go for dell just for the video card. I refuse to get the i7 for the laptop. WAY TO EXPENSIVE. I think it was like $5,200 US dollors or probably more when I can just get a desktop with an i7 for around $2,800 US dollors.
