I'm just gonna bump this.

Looking for a racing game in particular.

GT 3?

I understand GT 4 may be too demanding to run with my system spec?

Yeah, those games are quite demanding. You will atleast need a STP of 1800. Your laptop processors stp is quite low. Try playing some other less demanding games like FF and other rpg's.

Would I have to stick to RPG's in general, or are there any racing names that might function reasonably well with my spec?

I got FF10 which works well, but just looking for some racers to mix it up.

Did you even look at the STP for that chip. It IS 1800. It should run those games fairly well. It's not much slower than my chip and I don't have any issues with them except for a track or two

Damn it, I took a look at a different model number's STP. Yeah, I think his processor will be fine for most games but, just in case name the racing games what you are gonna play as jes said.

Well my buddy has a bunch of games, he's got GT 4 I think.
Need for speed?
He has a bunch anyways.

Just in terms of chip performance, Metal Gear Solid 2 was lagging a bit to much to be playable, but MGS 3 seems to be working pretty well so far.
Lags a little in places, but it's still very playable.

The one I'd like to play is GT4 of course, but I don't wanna go asking him for games that are no good to me...
