[LIST] The Most GPU-Intensive Games

I think Burnout 1 & 2 are quick to emulate, it's mainly 3 and its successors that are hard.

What about Midnight Club 3? I've heard it's ridiculous hard to emulate. I've heard similar things about NFS: Hot Putsuit 2 and NFS: Underground 1/2. What's up with these EA racers being so hard to emulate? Tongue2

Brock lessner had mentioned NFS in one of his posts in my older thread, so I will add it too.

Armored Core series... 3, Silent Line, Nexus, Ninebreaker, and Last Raven

Anytime there is a scene with high heat and radiating waves make my fps slooooow down, even with a 7850. Plus the arena and forest areas in 3/Silent Line does that too. Not sure why.

What would be considered gpu intensive because I think the difficulty of emulation is somewhat subjective. I mean to some people kingdom hearts is cpu intensive while even Burnout 3 may not be considered all that hard to run to someone else. So my question is what are your standards for a certain game to be considered gpu intensive?

If it's a lot higher than your baselines, you will know it is a demanding game.

As in that example, by comparing to a game that one would consider average or easy GPU wise.

Demanding doesn't mean impossible for everyone to run, it just means it has higher requirements than average.

I mean, technically if you go back far enough, ANY game is demanding.

If an upper echelon GDDR5 card has difficulty in keeping the game at 60fps then I would say it's gpu demanding. My post #13 describes my experience with my Radeon 7850.

I'd say that qualifies it as VERY demanding.

Final mix is just KH1 with extra cutscenes and boss fights, and that runs at natve on my radeon hd 4550 and athlon 64 x2 4400+.
