Laptop don't detect the new battery
Any idea what could be wrong.
I just got a replacement battery for a laptop(ASUS EEE PC 1015PX)and no matter what I try windows always says ''No battery detected'' and the light indicator is always off.

The new battery is non oem but all the rest is the same(voltage, wattage and amperage)and it says that it is for that laptop model(along with other models)

If I try turning on the laptop on battery,it works for 3-4 second and then it's automatically turned off

My guess is the battery isn't identifying itself correctly to the machine so the machine rejects it. You can run into this with non OEM battery.
