Laptop specs isn't too bad, but...
#1
Greetings,

I've read/went over this:
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Sticky-Wi...y-computer
&
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Official-...ide-v0-9-8

And it seems that my laptop might be able to run at a "not bad" level.
(I assume)
But I couldn't get the configurations right. I still experience game lags and laggy sounds.

Would someone lend me a hand please?

Here are some info that I hope would help:
My version is PCSX2 1.0.0 (r5350)
I have a GEFORCE NVIDIA GT520M (1GB) graphic card.
(Don't know why it doesn't show up on CPUID)

Downloaded a plugin files, and this is how mine looks like:

I'm looking forward to play these games:
.Hack GU Vol.1 Rebirth (and hopefully all other volumes too)
Monster rancher 4 / Evo
OR... Something my laptop could play please? Haha.

Any help or tips is greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much for your time!
Cheers!

Your CPU is very weak to play any game. I have the same GPU and i can play the most games in native or 2x resolution but my CPU is i5 2430m.The problem is the speed of your CPU. Try to set EE cyclerate to 2 and VU cycle stealing to 1 and tick all the recommended speedhacks and the native resolution but do not expect miracles. Run the pcsx2 with the nvidia card and not with internal.

1.4 GHz that can't be true !!!!!!

are you sure he didn't reach throttle or something !

*checking the CPU in Intel's page*

Edit : the CPU haves 2.1 GHz ( which is not that bad but not enough )

what games are trying to play ?

you can't keep throwing these settings around those can seriously make some damage to compatibility !

OK. I will try that.
But abdo123 doesn't seem to be very keen on suggesting to tick all the hacks and stuff.
I have to hear more from you guys (I'm learning too in the process) Laugh

well what i meant that those settings CAN do more damage than use ( Compatibility flaws False FPS and sometime lower speed Laugh )

so experiment them before use !

Oh. so it actually has to see what games it is?

I tried those two method mentioned, setting it to 1 and 2 respectively.
But it doesn't seem to be improving it.

Am I doing something wrong or approaching this from a wrong side?

nope but usually when it don't help it's a GPU bottleneck care to reduce Resolution ( Native perhaps )

Config < Video < Plugin settings

One major factor for slowdowns is the display resolution.

Always use 4.3 aspect ratio, not 16.9. It makes a big difference
