Left joystick has large amount of dead area

After setting up all the keybinds for my controller(ps4 controller), it seems that the left joystick has a lot a dead space in each 45 degree spot.  Is there a way to setup a joystick to be more smooth?

Put sensitivity (slider) of all L and R analog inputs to above 1.3
