Spent 5 hours through tutorials, editing, codes, etc... NOTHING! The game's Spyro the dragon - Enter the dragonfly

Here are the setups below and got all from 3 different websites including one of these: http://wescastro.com/codetwink/cheats.co...efault.htm

Can someone PLEASE END MY NIGHTMARE! Got such a bad headache, been doing several emulators, codings, games, etc and since I decided to wanted to try out Spyro 4, all other emulators freezes/slow/crashes except this one after some few modifications that I have it running fast and smooth, perfect graphic and audio but everytime I get these cheats loaded in, NOTHING, no changes.... Even have enabled cheats on, what am I'm doing wrong Sad

Those codes are not raw(they use codebreaker v1 encryption)

Since I have Omnicovert, can you tell me from what settings I was suppose to put on? I had input on Action Replay Max, so was it suppose to be codebreaker v1 into raw output standard??

Also would these cheats work also? http://uk.codejunkies.com/search/codes/S...13___.aspx

I think they might be from PAL and I'm guessing those codes are AR?

The ones you had were Codebreaker v1 codes, not AR-MAX.

Input: Codebreaker > Version 1+
Output: Unencrypted > Standard

PAL codes won't work on NTSC. You'd have to convert them properly first before using them.

one more thing, how the hell do I know what kind of codes are these..? Really hate it when websites don't label type of codes they are... can't tell if its fresh and raw, I'm using Omniconverter. If anyone has a guide that tells what kind of code they are that'd be nice or is there way I can tell by beginning of codes or something? Thanks

That site contains codes only for NTSC(usa)games and the codes are using v1/7 encryption or they are raw.
You need some basing knowledge to be able to guess what kind of encryption they are using(or if they are encrypted at all)

It's basically like this
RAW - what you see(address and value)makes sense
V1 encrypted - look kinda similar to raw but have most of the time weird address(the memory range(excluding the first digit)is from 0000000-1FFFFFF but v1 encrypted are usually using addresses above 1FFFFFF)
V7 encrypted - the whole code(address and value)doesn't make sense...impossible address and weird value

The codes from that link are v1 encrypted.
Try playing with omniconvert to convert raw codes to v1/7 to see the difference

Ah thank you so much, starting to be able to tell between v1/7, gameshark, and almost AR, do you have any idea what kind of codes are these..? This is the only last codes I couldn't figure out the valves, not making any sense to me;http://uk.codejunkies.com/search/codes/007-Agent-Under-Fire_PlayStation2_1049765-1___.aspx

You are going to the hard part
Those are Action Replay v2 codes but they are using different encryption key code.

Omniconvert=>Options=>Set AR2 Key Code=>the default is 1746EAAD and the other one is(which those codes use) is 1853E59E
Set it to that and then convert them...Action Replay Version 2 => RAW
