Low FPS.
#1
sorry if this is the wrong part of the forums, first post.
anyway...recently downloaded PCSX2 to run FF-X and MK -Deception.
ive tweaked and tweaked to my hearts content ...
but i cant get any acceptable FPS rates....

below is my DXdiag report,
altho i think my computer should easily be able to emulate PS2 games.
i get 25-35 FPS on FF-X and around 30 on MK. makes it hard to play the game and it really messes up the sound =/

PCSX2 v0.9.8
settings are on default...pretty much...

any help is appreciated Wacko

have you tried speedhacks?
and actually you need some oc on the CPU 2.66 is very low & you still may not get perfect fps.

I think the graphics card may be the problem. Try the speedhacks. or use frameskip.

No......... 9800 GT is powerful enough to handle these games.

If you never tried ocing then don't play with it if you don't have a background. unless if you want to fry something Biggrin .

Also did you max out speedhacks or tried them one by one ?

TBH I don't think you will get that much out of Q9400 even if it is OC'ed... it might help a little bit but don't expect perfect results out of it.
The max oc on air with Q9400 will yield to 3.2 to 3.4 on air and you may gain between 4-8 fps max and it might not be possible with the stock cooler.
sorry mate.
