1 - which tekken ?
2 - Your CPU is known to perform badly unde pcsx2 and gaming in genreal.
Use recommended speedhacks + ee cycle rate to 1 & VU cycle stealing to 1
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Remember that even though your cpu has 6 cores you are only using 2 (3 with mtvu hack). Single thread performance is what counts. And piledriver is a big step ahead of bulldozer in that department. So you need to overclock your cpu and maybe experiment with mtvu to see if it helps.

well its not that big really, they are still slower then the phenom II series...

In PCSX2 (you can look at the CPU bench) the improvement is quite big (as in general gaming...): a 4.0GHz 8320 performs as a 4.7GHz 8120, so piledriver is almost a 20% better, and if you compare it with Phenom II you can see that a 4.3GHz one performs just slightly better (1FPS), so at the same frequency PD is better (not to mention that PD easily works at frequencies that are very very very high for a Phenom II).
Still sure that it's not a big improvement?

yes because pcsx2 benchmarks is not all there is to benching.
ive seen other benchmark (rwal world perfomance benches) and the phenom 2 still outruns the piledriver by 5% or so, so still not a huge improvement.

But here people wants to know how good a CPU is for PCSX2, and probably you are talking about multithreaded situations with same number of cores, where the resource sharing of the modules gives an obvious reduction in performances...but the FX gives you more cores.

Oh and we were talking about the improvement of Piledriver over BULLDOZER, not over Stars...

To me if a cpu does better on pcsx2, I would not worry about other benchmarks as I play pcsx2 more than anything. If it can handle pcsx2, all other tasks should be able to be handled with a fair amount of ease.
