MGS 3 low fps cutscenes
#1
Hi there.

I downloaded PCSX2 specially for MGS3 and in the game I can play perfectly with 40-50 fps (with some anti-alising and more resollution of course) but in the cutscenes I have a very low FPS rate and I can't enjoy it very much. Even if I use the original PS2 resolution and no anti alising, it's just the same.

My PC specs:
GPU: GTX 650 TI Boost
CPU: AMD A-10 5800K (4 cores - 3,8 ghz)
RAM: 8GB

I have a very good specs for my PC and I don't know what's wrong... How do exactly I need to configure PCSX2?

(In Shadow of the colossus ¡t`s even worse BTW)

you'll need to be above 4.5 Ghz to play those cutscenes @ full speed.
those are extremely demanding.
about shadow of the colossus : try it again on your ps2, and you'll see this game lags even on it.
Vu cycle stealing speedhack works very well on it, though.
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go

Thanks anyways, I didn't knew that these emulators needed so much CPU speed.

if you don't have a PS2, you have nothing to do here
