Mega Man X collection Cinematic Scenes
#1
Hi guys, I'm new to PCSX2 and I'm having a little problem.

I'm running an ISO of Mega Man X collection and during normal game play it oscillates between 60 and 50 fps, but when it comes to cut scenes and the Capcom animation it drops down to 20 fps Sad. I'm using the GSDX SSE41 plugin and all of the emulation settings are at defaults, except for the speed hacks, which I have set to preset 2 otherwise the ISO would run at 20 fps the entire time. Is there anything I can do to fix this.

Here are my system specs:

Cutscenes (FMV) require CPU power.

It sounds like your CPU just isn't powerful enough.

Finally, some one responds Laugh. I thought my CPU was too weak, so then could I upgrade it to any one of these CPU's in the link? My hope is that I will be able to play more demanding games like Final Fantasy X with out any hiccups. I would imagine that I would need more RAM and a GPU upgrade, is this correct? I'm considering upgrading my CPU to the Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X900 and my GPU to Nvidia 8800M GTX. Would this be enough to realize my goal?
