Is there any available hardware in the market that will allow me to connect my old ps2 mem cards to my pc so i can use them again when I decide to buy myself a ps2 in a week or so. I would like to be able to port all of my work onto the mem card.
looking forward to a response.

Did you own a PS2 in the past?

Yes, but the cd/dvd drive broke, the spring that controlled the sensor movement broke. When turned on it would shoot to the base of spindle and then vibrate as the modem tried to push it farther down. I've worked with many hardware issues and fixed many mechanical issues in my life, there was no saving this thing.

Ah, sorry to hear that. I don't really have any technical expertise on this subject, though.

I dont think there is any "adapter" to use the memcards in you pc, but cant sone ps2 use usb sticks or network cable to transfer files?

Only if the console is modded. Given the DVD drive is shot, however, the memcard exploit is impossible to do. I'll look around because I think I saw something along the lines of what you want...
Edit: looks like no matter what you need a disc at some point. If you know someone with a PS3 you could always do it that way.

Ah well, I believe he was talking about putting his PC saves onto a new PS2, not his old PS2 saves onto a PC.

Whoops, read that too quickly.
But... if you have a ps2 memcard and plan on buying another ps2, why transfer the files to the PC and back again? Waste of time, really.
