Metal Gear Solid 3
#1
Hello everybody before posting i've watched ton of movies on Youtube and read few articles but i still can't find solution to my problem with MGS3.
I can run Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Dragon Quest without any problem on specs:
GTX 260, Q6600 Quad Core and 4 GB 1000Hz DDR2.
I only had sound problems in Dragon Quest but it just didnt seem a much of a problem to me but MGS3: Snake Eater is completly unplayable just like ZoE2, i mean it gets like 40%-60% game speed depends on scene and fps goes from 15-30. For example both DQ and DBZ work perfectly when it comes to gfx (60+ fps and 90-100% game speed). Does anyone know solution? Tried different game fixes and Speed Hacks included in 0.9.8 PCSX2.

Best regards Michael.

EDIT: Forgot to mention had same problem with Tekken 6, FPS were okay but game speed was about 40%..

You'll nver get full speed, but you can try to get the best of it.
Use latest svn and enable mtvu hack.
Set ee cycle rate & vu cycle stealing.

It may lead you near playable speeds.

A higher clockrate on your CPU would help.
If you can consider overclocking,
it will make a difference in your situation.
If not, then you would have to buy one that comes faster.

The right settings will only get you so far,
with games like MGS3, ZoE2 and Tekken 5.
(You meant Tekken 5, right? Wink)
