Metal Gear Solid 3 post processing FX working but...
#1
Good news to any Metal Gear Solid fans here with the latest Git post processing is working in Open GL mode Laugh and boy it looks good !

Big thank's to all the devs you rock guys !

However they are a few glitches.

-For some reason the cutscenes cause PSCX2 to crash.

-Sometimes there is a delay with the effects this seems to be random and actually much less of an issue than the first glitch.

If anyone has managed to get the cut scenes working without causing the emulator to crash please share your settings here so the whole PCSX MGS community can finally enjoy this game in its full glory.

I will try to upload pictures soon.

Hi Jesalvein.

I5 6600k OC 4.1 Ghz
16 Gb DDR4
GTX 980 notebook
2x Samsung 940pro V-Nand 500Go

I somehow don't think it is hardware related unless it is a Windows 10 related issue.

Maybe not, but we ask for all this information to give a better scope of the issue at hand Smile

Hey problem solved.

Don't know what was causing the crash but I solved it by simply using a custom resolution for up scaling instead of the options from the drop down.

I now have MGS 3 working perfectly in full HD with the post processing effects.

Thank you all for the help again.

And thank you to all the devs for making all of this possible.

We can now Play MGS1 or TTS and MGS2 and MGS3 on PC thanks to emulators.

Cheers.

Could you monitor your vram usage? Otherwise, it seems something is buggy in my code. Some crashes were reported too in FFX-2. More work in perspective Sad
