Metal Saga freezes

So I went back to playing Metal Saga,  and decided to play through the star, but I cannot get past junk mountain, whenever I get to the area to obtain the first tank, the terrain graphics are completely broken, and trying to go south to the vehicle causes the game to freeze with no explanation. The music keeps playing but nothing else happens.
I have tried multiple configurations of speedhacks and plugins and nothing seems to work. Which is bizarre because it worked before. I am now trying this on my new computer, but I do not expect it to be an issue, as it is more powerful in every way than the old one.

The only clue I got is a message in the log:

Vif1: Unknown VifCmd! [43]

This command was repeated several times over with different numbers at the end.
It cannot be the fault of the iso, it was working fine last time.

What version of PCSX2 are you using? Can you try the latest development build from here: http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/index.php

Once again, I already did that. While the newest build seems to run faster, the error persists.

Can you please post all emulations settings and the full emulog after the hang?

All settings are default. INTC spin detection, wait loop detection and mvu flag are the only enable hacks.
Renderer is direct3d 11 software.

And/or save states ?

No cheats. I used a save state, yes, but I did so after the problem started, purely to test out solutions. the problem appears regardless of wether I use save states or not.
I did not want to put the whole log in, as it is quite long. Are you really ok with me posting that here?
