IS there anything else I can do? I am not to thrilled with the Idea of buying a new CPU, I can afford a good one at the moment.

Bulldozer is bad, Piledriver is much better. Smile

That being said, overclock where you can (up to around 4.5 ghz easily for that cpu), use MTVU hack, and experiment with EE timing and VU cycle stealing hacks to see what works.

Don't oversell it. Piledriver is a bit better. The majority of gains comes from faster clockrate, per clockrate piledriver is only 5% faster or so. If you overclock you'll end up with very similar results in most cases.

to get it to run smoothly I had to set it to preset 6 also. there is a "ghost" image at the top left, is that normal.

I disagree. FFX-2 benchmark thread shows that it takes Bulldozer at around 4.6 ghz to break the 60 fps barrier, Phenom II at 4.2 ghz, and Piledriver at 4.0 ghz.

Back to the topic, no there shouldn't be a ghost. Could you post a screenshot?
