I got a couple of PS1/PS2 USB controller adapters from Temu so I could use PCSX2 with real PS2 controllers. Launched Ratchet & Clank and it acted like I was always holding L1.
I tried some clone PS2 controller. Same issue.
I tried a Xbox 360 Pro Ex and a Mad Catz Xbox 360 controller. No problem.
The fix was easy, just "remap" the L1 button. Something in the default map must be wrong or off or something where it's not getting the L1 button release code and is reading the L1 press code as always on.
Probably a glitch with the USB controller adapter, but it doesn't affect Windows game controller test/calibration - which does show the controller having more buttons than a normal DualShock actually has.
