More resolution in software mode

Im forced to use Software rendering but its locked on 480p making it look blurry.

There is a way to upscale the resolution and make it look better?

use harddware and try internal resolution 2x-3x or try custom end put your desktop resolution like 1920*1080

Nope, though technically it is upscaling, which is why it's blurry.

A higher resolution mode kind of defeats the purpose of a more accurate software mode, and even if it could be done without compromising accuracy, it would be extremely demanding for most games.

It would be 4 times slower (for 2x). Doable if you can already run it +120fps. However it will create a ton of accurate issues. SW renderer is accurate because it emulates the real GS memory with the real GS texture format. The best plan so far is to do a SW renderer on GPU (such as openCL) and add some msaa on it. Or do a double rendering, one at native resolution to emulate GS memory and an upscaled resolution for your screen (not sure it will work well for post-processing effects)

It is quite complex. Hopefully future GPU will give us more capabilities to improve the emulator.
