RE: Movie Recommendations
Ahem, some knowledge we are born with. Such as the instinct to not walk off a cliff. 1 year old's with no understanding of why it is scary or what death still do not do certain things.

"Oceania is at war with Eastasia, Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia. Eurasia is our ally, Eurasia has always been our ally. Everything fades into mist, the past is erased and the erasure forgotten. The lie becomes truth and then becomes a lie again".

Well I wasn't speaking on instinct, I was talking about logic and reason like thinking about how the universe ticks and so fourth.

(06-30-2012 03:05 AM)Alexander Moore Wrote:  Older = Wiser in most situations, unless we're comparing a well educated person to a badly educated one. More time being alive means you have more experience.

There are rare exceptions, but the argument "When did age decide the knowledge and ability of a human?" is something I shouldn't have to explain, it's more or less common sense.

Go ahead and compare a 10 year old to a 25 year old in just about any mentally challenging scenario. Your argument is like saying that you're BORN with knowledge and ability - but no, knowledge is aquired over time - when you're a baby you know practically nothing (though ability can be inherited naturally).

But we're really off-topic now. I think this thread can be concluded.

Wisdom come with experience which come by age there is no doubt about that but

knowledge comes with learning and educating and the ability to gain big amount of information this doesn't require age !!!!
some people graduate college @ the age of ~10 this means that they are smarter than an adult and he have acquired a big amount of knowledge in a short time this doesn't require the wisdom of the age

and one last thing :
knowledge don't = experience
age don't = knowledge

Little bit of faith in qualifications there? You get autistic savants who can do something like that because they are rediculously good at regurgitating information. Try putting them in a social/business/management/whatever situation and see how smarter than an adult they are Wink

RE: Movie Recommendations
And... back on topic? Laugh

Anyway, a few i'd recommend listed below;

Avatar
Inception
The Last Samurai
I Am Legend
District 9
Final Fantasy Advent Children
Final Fantasy The Spirits Within

Only to mention a few, got a huge list that i won't bore you with Tongue

Some i wouldn't suggest watching are;

Anything With Steven Seagal
Anything With Jean Claude Van Damme

Seriously, those movies are so cheesey it makes me wanna eat a burger to stem the displeasure.

RE: Movie Recommendations
Final Fantasy Advent Children is great,but Final Fantasy The Spirits Within is bad attempt to make a movie(I think that was the reason Squaresoft got in financial problems and had to merge with Enix).

But it has ALEC BALDWIN. Who, according to Team America, is the world's greatest actor.
