Movies and/or game are slow
#1
Hey guys,

yesterday I downloaded the PCSX2 Emulator and configurated it in accord with your configuration guide. When I start a game it runs very slow or the movies and sound have little breaks.

I have ab Acer Aspire 7741G Laptop with the following hardware:

- Intel Core i5-480 M 2.66 GhZ with Turbo Boost up to 2.93 GhZ CPU.
- AMD Radeon HD 6550 M graphic card.
- 4 GB DDR3 Memory
- Windows 7

I configurated PCSX2 in the following way:

GSdx 4600 (MSVC 15.00, SS 4.1) 0.1.16:

I already changed the interlacing, but everything has the same effect (I think so...)

SPU2-X r4600m 1.4.0:

Here I already changed the Module (Output Setting) but it was the same like above.

By starting Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix:

The movie is juddering and the sound has "breaks". I also have some black bars on top and below, as you can see here:

After the movie, when I can playing by myself everythin is fine. I Played 5 minutes and there were no problems.

By starting Final Fantasy X-2:

It's very curious when the intro is there:

This bar below is curious and how the movie looks, too. The sound has massive problems, too.

By starting Gran Turismo 4:

I can start the game and play. When the race begins it is only lagging and the game is unplayable.

So, what can I do now?

Best regards,
Karim

for FFX-2 you will need to press F9 during the videos to change to software mode, hardware cannot handle it correctly.

aso for Gran turismo, its a bit of a memory whore, you will benifit from ticking the "Native" box and "Allow 8bit textures" in gsdx, not a lot else you can do aside from grab the latest svn build from here http://pcsx2.net/download/development/svn.html
then enable the "MTVU" speedhack
