Pcsx2 crashes along with my gpu whenever i start playing a game. I have played it on my onboard gpu and it works fine "bit laggy :/". Does anyone know if its the emulator or my gpu, and if theres a fix for it?

this is not a bug report, moving to the support section.
can you post the error you get and your full system specs (including what gpu you have) (01-11-2013, 01:42 AM)refraction Wrote: this is not a bug report, moving to the support section. Pcsx2 Gs Driver:GSdx 5334 (MSVC 16.00, SSE2) 0.1.16 [gsdx32-sese2-r5350]
GPU Driver:Really not sure how to tell what it is but i got it from Msi and it is the latest. As for the overclocking my card is factory clocked at 1100mhz and is meant for overclocking. I can try to lower its clockspeed but imo it may cause it to become more unstable.

Considering the processor that PSU may be from the time the potency is not given in RMS and then it may actually be even half the given value, what could explain the system going down when overloaded.
That means may not be the GPU the cause of the failure but simply the system not getting enough power. But remember that is only a supposition. Anyway, the log (already asked) would be good.

Do you have problems also with PC games? If your system works well even with demanding games (as crysis for example) I would exclude the PSU while instability due to OC is more application dependant. Anyway there's always a certain risk buying low quality PSUs...

Far Cry 3 on max at around 30-40 fps And bf3 on medium around 20 "due to cpu "

Oh and you should also consider that the latest AMD drivers improved a lot the performances, this means that the GPU is more stressed and the highest OC is lowered, in my case I went down from 1265MHz to 1240, if MSI tested your GPU with older drivers there is a small possibility that with the newer that OC is too high, and if you don't want to decrease the frequency you can alternatively try increasing the voltage.
