Hi,
I friend and I just recently got this pc http://www.walmart.com/ip/CyberPower-GUA103/14089720 . It runs pcsx2 a little bit so we want to upgrade it to get better playing speed on our favorite games. Could you guys please give us some ideas of what graphics card and what processor we could put in it?

you wont benefit that much from upgrading the cpu (is fine just not the best for pcsx2 but with a good OC it will be great) as for gpu you MUST upgrade that! what is your budget for the gpu?
OS: Win 7 Ultimate x64 sp1, MoBo: Asus P5QD Turbo, CPU: Q6600 @ 3,0Ghz, RAM: Trancend 2x2gb 6-6-6-18 800 MHz, GPU: HD 4850 1gb.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/NewProduct...6814130562 top pick great performance and everything you can think off (good for pc games that support dx11 also) at good price, but at 200$

great card faster than 5770 but it doesnt have dx11 160$

pretty good card has dx11 but still not better than gtx260 (and specially in pcsx2) 165$

if you want something cheaper probably near or in pair with the 5770 (cause of the huge overclock it comes with) 145$

even if you dont shop from there you know for what to look for..

still gtx 460 is very recommended (specially if you even can put extra 20$ at a total of 220$ for the 1gb version of evga, greatly worth's the money, but you have to wait a couple of days for the 1gb version to come to all stores cause its a new card)

also from tests that where made by forum members in the link i will post below nvidia cards where performing better than ati cards in pcsx2

i am sure 3.4 is safe.

actually safe = the highest STABLE overclock with the stock volts amd gives for the cpu!

Uh depends on temperature but usually 3.6 to 3.8GHz

Well its air cooled and I could always get an eternal fan so I guess I could push it to 3.6 ghz

Well I found out that the pc only has a 420 watt power supply and the best card I could find that was compatible is a ATI Radeon 5670 1gb. Is that good enough? I'm only playing at native resolution btw.

Yes, it's more than enough for native.
