My xbox 360 controller disconnects itself when Playing SMT: Nocturne
#1

Hi guys so I recently installed PCSx2 on my system to replay some of the classics. But I am facing a peculiar problem when Playing Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne.

First of all the game runs perfectly fine at full speed. But every time I encounter a battle the Xbox 360 wireless controller just disconnects and I have to reconnect it to continue.
Nothing happens when I am using the controller in general. Like I could stroll around the game for hours and the connection would be stable but the moment I get a random encounter the controller gets disconnected.

Can anyone tell me what could cause this? I really want to get into playing SMT again and this is becoming a huge hindrance.

Thanks in advance q.q

Do you know if the game makes the controller rumble? Cause that could be a probable cause. Try removing rumble settings from your controller configuration and see what happens. Cause... The controller shouldnt decide to d/c on you specifically in a single spot. the input plugin just isn't coded that way.

You do not have enough power, same thing happens to me with wired xbox360 controller when i'm using 8m extension cord and i have to use power adapter on usb hub on gamepad side if i want to use rumble. It's same for anything beside ps2 , it happens whenever you have intensive rumble.

Cept he's using a wireless controller with the wireless controller dongle from microsoft. its nothing wrong with the power. Id say his drivers for the controller are either old or didn't install right.

Well, battery could be wearing out.
