My processor(FX 6300) is faster than yours to begin with, if you look in my signature, you'll see I have it clocked to 4.12GHz.

And I still get cpu based slowdown in some games.

That won't make me feel better about it, ya know xD

Not meant to, just explaining.

I've only had a PC capable of emulating most games at full speed for two months now. Before that I had ran PCSX2 on an Athlon 64 3700+ and Radeon X850XT. I played Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia to completion at full speed on that rig in PCSX2 with EE hack maxed.

I see.. so, uh..
Any idea what I can do to fix the graphics issues? I mean.. I'd be okay with Native if it wasn't so blurry and pixelated.

I hadn't read the whole thread til just now, so to clarify, you are having graphic glitches at resolutions higher than native?

If that's the case, you might be stuck with it. Some games just get problems above native resolution.

Do you have a screenshot of the problem?

It's nearly impossible to take screenshots (for the flickering), but I can explain what it is.
''For example, the screen moves all the way to the right for no reason, there are big white lines on it, ''
And also, sometimes the screen flickers really quickly. I shouldn't be having any problems with this at all since the thingy I posted had 2x Native but without any issues..

Grove4L had said this sounds like the nvidia driver issue, did you try downgrading the driver to see?

Uh, no, and I really don't want to try that, either. I mean, I want to fix it of course, but I don't really want to go as far as to downgrade my driver just for it. I can't really afford to sacrifice any of the driver updates I already have just for one thing.
Anyway, I heard some things here:
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Flickering-Screen
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Blinking-Screen
Apparently downloading an older version of GSdx would help, or converting a PAL ISO image to NTSC.
I'm not sure what I should try though, but yeah. Besides, I don't think that person was too sure of Nvidia being the cause..

I don't have an nvidia card to test, nor this game anyway.

It doesn't sound exactly like that anyway.

Why don't you download PCSX2 0.9.6 or 0.9.8 and give it a try in that? Just keep it separate from your current PCSX2 and it's no risk to try. That will have older GSDX too, so you will know if that's the cause. If so, you can swap out the DLL into the PCSX2 1.1.0 and set it in plugins.

But if it only happens above native, you may just have to live with native. It happens. I have some games like that. Your eyes will get used to it Smile

Well, I could try that. Shouldn't be hard, but then again, I don't get one thing.. How other people aren't having this issue.

This is PCSX2 1.1.0. The quality is extremely good and it doesn't really look like it's on native, yet there are no issues.. I wonder. Anyway, I doubt my eyes would get used to it, because, trust me, the flickering is unbelievably annoying ;_;

But thanks Tongue Do you know why that video doesn't have any issues, however?
