Need Help on Optimising Persona 4
#1
Hello guys ,
So I've been playing persona 4 , i can get above 60fps most of the time , but it dips to 40 randomly doesnt matter where i am or what im doing itjust slows down , so I'm asking you guys to help me optimise my settings.

My current laptop specs are:

AMD A6-3410MX Quad 1.6 Stock overclocked to 2.3Ghz it comes with Radeon 6520g but i have it disabled.
AMD Radeon 6750M 512MB
6GB Ram 1333Mhz
650GB HDD
Im running Windows 7 E 64bit

Im running pcsx 1.1.0.0 svn Dec 30 2013

My current settings:
GS- Dx11
3x Native
FXAA Shader
Texture filter checked

Speedhacks enabled:
all the default ones and MTVU
EE and VU set to 0

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance Smile

Download CoreTemp and monitor your temperatures when the slowdown happens.

I'm guessing you are having some heat issues causing your CPU to throttle.

I do have core temp but my CPU never goes above 75 C , unless i play on prolonged periods like 6+ hrs , then it might reach 80-85. Im currently playing a dungeon at 62C and get some slowdowns during the "running around" period. I get some slowdowns when i kill enemies as well (when they shatter to black mess or something)

If you disable FXAA and set native resolution, do you still get the slowdown?

Also what does coretemp say the Tj Max is for your CPU?

My max temp is 115C

And turning to native solves the problem but , the game looks horrible :C
though i get 150fps on turbo

115C is horribly dangerous. That's more that hot enough to boil water.

Okay well, how about 2x?

It's obvious that your computer can't handle it at 3x. Since it's a graphics rendering bottleneck, speedhacks aren't gonna help you much. The best you can do is find the max resolution that you can run full speed at, and go with that.
