Hello,
I've recently had some problems with certain games on my emulator. I tried to play games that use 3D models like Tekken Tag Tournament, and Soul Calibur II, but they run very slowly on my computer. However, games that use 2D sprites, like Marvel vs Capcom 2, run very well with minimal slowdown. I'm not very experienced with configuring the emulator and I'm not sure if I need any new plugins to boost my speed. Can someone help me with this?
Computer Specs:
Intel I3-4000M CPU @ 2.40 GHz, 2 Cores, 4 Logical Processors
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
PCSX2 Specs:
Version 1.2.1
GSdx 0 (MSVC 18.00, SSE2) 0.1.16
LilyPad 0.11.0
SOU2-X r5830 2.0.0
cdvdGigaherz 0.9.0
Thanks!

no, you need a better CPU; with an STR above 1800
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

You just don' t have the horse power for those games.
I recommend trying to run both games at the lowest settings possible
Windows 10
Intel 5930k 4.2ghz/core
32 GBs of 2400MHz DDR4
AMD PoweColor 390X (GPUs are expensive or this would be in crossfire)

You can use one or more of the following settings. You need to check if they help or not as some are gamebreaking or slowing you down. For sure enable all recommended speedhacks and set synchronization mode from timestretch to async mix in spu2-x plugin settings. Use the gsdx sse version with the highest number after the sse block that is available. (I guess sse4.1)
Hacky speedhacks with decreasing efficiency:
1. MTVU
2. ee cyclerate hack (mid or max setting)
3. vu cycle stealing (prob. one above default)
4. vu clamping none
5. supervu instead of microvu
6. frameskip 2 skip 2 draw (i think really not worth)
7. set base framerate in pcsx2_vm or ui to half of the original value and press tab ingame (magic if at all. Some people claimed it helps)
8. increase ee cyclerate hack above 3 in the pcsx2_vm or _ui ini. Maybe 4 or 5.
Make sure your notebook is plugged and in high performance mode.
Please report back if you found optimal settings adjusting the given options. Just that i know for the future.

Got it!
Setting the ee cyclerate hack to max along with with the recommended things you told me has made the game run like a pro. Thanks so much willkuer!
